Moonbow (and API Equality-LA), like many organizations, had its own highs and lows when it came to communication, relationship building, trust, conflict, accountability, repair, and all things relational. We felt that the organization needed an accountability guide for quite some time; we were needing a structure and framework that was digestible and easy to gravitate toward. We co-created this guide during the spring and summer of 2025, hoping to fill a fundamental gap between staff and board members in particular. This guide is meant for individual use; for any party involved at any level of tension or conflict. We will be implementing these care and accountability practices as a team and we hope other individuals and organizations find this useful!

Additionally, we created a sample of positionality agreements between staff and board members for organizational workplaces that inherently have a hierarchical structure.
